Thornell's inscription reads: "Sandy,/Sorry I didn't have this in color too!/Jack Thornell." From the Estate of William J. "Sandy" Colton. All proceeds to benefit the Eddie Adams Workshop. Thornell won the Pulitzer Prize in 1967 for his photographs of the shooting of James Meredith.
