"The colors and brightness [of Vence]" are represented in this poster, where "the bright, flat areas of color give an overall exceptional impact . . . the work represents a foreground of flowers, suggests the line of the railway viaduct and a places the city between the mountains and the sea to make it clear that Vence offers all the charms and all the possibilities of the Cote d'Azur" (Azur p. 136).
