first edition of the civil rights leader's second book. Inscribed: 'Best Wishes Martin Luther King Jr.' Beneath that For Mollie and Henry with best wishes for success in the fight for freedom, Emily and Kim.' The latter were two people who carried the book from King to Moon. Henry Lee Moon, was born to activist parents Roddy (prominent NAACP branch president in Cleveland) and Leah Moon. Moon became a powerful force within the NAACP, and was for the last ten years of his life editor of the NAACP's official organ, Crisis Magazine, as well as reviewer for the Amsterdam News.
