the first book of the gemini press. number 7 of only 50 copies on handmade japanese vellum, signed by graves and hughes-stanton. Hughes-Stanton founded Gemini press in 1934 with his wife, the poet and novelist Ida Graves. Epithalamion was the first of two books completely designed, set, and printed by him. It was published in an edition of 330 copies and was only reissued once, in a small edition in 1979 by the Basilisk Press, using the remaining original sheets in Hughes-Stanton's possession.
