The General Motors building at the Century of Progress (Chicago World's Fair) was designed by Albert Kahn. The massive structure was an eighth of a mile long and 306 feet wide. Inside, visitors could watch the "Making of a Motor Car" exhibit, in which 200 workers on an actual assembly line were putting cars together that were ultimately were sold from the pavilion.
