Additional Details

Arnold Buffum & Co. here advertise their New York store for California-bound gold miners, offering a "free exhibition every day of the practical operations of the pulverizing quartz grinder and centripetal almalgamator, which machines combined give to the gold miner all he can desire." Buffum also offered "information where, when, and how to procure the most reliable passage tickets." Buffum & Co. ran a similar ad in the New York Tribune on 19 May 1852, so we suspect the broadside dates from that period. None others traced in OCLC or at auction.
