Additional Details

Most of the group comprises drawings for the S.S. Pannonia, including: Profile & Hold Plan, Boat Shade & Shelter Decks, Deadweight Scales, Midship Section, Arrangement of Upper & Main Decks, Capacity Plans, Proposed Position of Lifeboats, Stability Curves, and Metacentric Diagrams. Many of the Pannonia plans bear the stamp of John Brown & Company, Clydebank, June 1904. Brown built the vessel which operated for the Cunard Line until 1922. Other sheets include manuscript plans for S.S. Majestic, S.S. Homeric and the S.S. Laurentic. Several photostat printings of 19th century steamers and tugs round out this interesting maritime group.
