Offered here is a highway tax book for Topsfield: a 6-page list of names and tax assessments; a one-page explanation of the list signed by Samuel Smith and 4 other Topsfield assessors on 30 May 1773; and a 2-page order to highway surveyor Eleazar Lake to complete the labor by 15 November, signed again by Smith and the same 4 other assessors. The front page bears the notation "Eleazar Lake's list," suggesting that it was retained as the personal property of the surveyor.Price Realized (with Buyer's Premium) $6,000
