"Just the right amount of Turkish." Illustration for a Chesterfield cigarette advertisement, 1930. Mixed media, with watercolor, gouache, graphite, pen, and ink on paper. 136x142 mm; 5 1/4x5 1/4 inches. Tipped to board with window matte. Provenance: acquired from the artist by G. Everett Hoyt, Chesterfield account manager at Hoyt Advertising; to descendent, then to two private collections.
