      THÉOPHILE-ALEXANDRE STEINLEN (1859-1923) CYCLES COMIOT-EADIE. Pencil drawing.
      5 1/2x7 3/4 inches.
      Condition A. Paper. Framed.
Designing a poster can be a long process, which usually begins with rough sketches. In this case, Steinlen is experimenting with both imagery and typography. Clearly, he was happy with this idea, as the finished poster reflects the young rider and the lettering in more or less the same postions as he has rendered here. With Steinlen's estate stamp.
