Most notable is John Lathrops "A Discourse Preached . . . being the Day Recommended by the Provincial Congress to be Observed in Thanksgiving." 39 pages. Uncut, unopened, with half-title. Lathrop, clearly in the patriot camp, discusses the "illustrious" Continental Congress on page 17, and notes on page 9 that "in no part of the world has the right of private judgement, in matters of religion, been more sacredly maintained than in America."
