"The Evolution of Hawley". Hand-colored lithograph caricaturing the pilot morphing into his hot air balloon. Monogrammed J.N.L. at lower right; mounted on card, toning and small stains. No copies traced.

Silver print photograph reproducing an illustrated Hotel St. Regis "Love Feast" handbill celebrating Alan Hawley and his co-pilot Augustus Post's return from a disastrous entry into the Gordon Bennett International Balloon Race, October 1910. Includes portraits of Hawley and Post, as well as their balloon "America II". Mounted on card, 11x13¾ inches overall; stains, large tear into image right.
