3 are UPI photos of "Free Huey" protests in New York and Oakland, July 1968. 4 are original prints of "Free Huey" protesters in Denver (one posed with the famous fan-back chair posters), credited to photographer Steve Larson of the Denver Post, 1 May 1969. The others show Newton's sister fainting at his sentencing, 8 September 1968; Newton and Seale in a split image; Newton addressing the Revolutionary People's Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1970; and an unidentified protest in May 1969.
