With an apparently secretarial signature of Joseph Warren as President of the Massachusetts Congress, and signature of Samuel Freemen as secretary. 1 page, 7 1/2 x 12 inches, with certification on verso; minimal wear and faint toning. Additional Details

William Heath had served at Concord, and later was a Brigadier General in the Continental Army. On verso, Joseph Haven as Justice of the Peace testifies on 21 June 1775 that Heath "took and repeated the oath appointed by Congress to be taken by the officers of the Massachusetts Army." Provenance: Goodspeed catalogue 231 (1934), item 317a, where it was advertised as a Joseph Warren Document Signed.
