The American Negro Exposition was put on by the Chicago Negro Chamber of Commerce, following a successful smaller event in 1938. The pamphlet is titled "An Exposition of Negro Business." [20] pages. 4to, 11 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches, original printed wrappers; light rusting to staples, otherwise minimal wear. The first page is an impassioned appeal for the support of local black-owned businesses. The rest of the volume consists almost entirely of advertisements for local businesses, with a short prog ...
