first edition of the first such report. Very scarce. given to delegates only. The National Negro Business League was founded by Booker T. Washington in Boston in 1900, "to promote the commercial and financial development of the Negro." Incorporated in 1901, the League went on to include nearly 400 chapters across the nation. This volume is the first report of the first convention, and includes short biographical sketches of many important African-American businessmen and women.
