Includes illustrated profiles of the directors and key personnel for this Black-owned insurance company; and a 7-page list of stockholders in fine print, arranged by state. The centerfold spread boasts "Over $100,000 Invested in First Mortgages on Property Owned by Negroes." It was issued before the May 1925 death of their founder Frank L. Gillespie.

Laid in are an undated circular letter regarding the book, a stock order form, and an 11½ x 8½-inch print of "The Future Home of the Liberty Life Ins. Co."

The company was later known as Supreme Life Insurance Company; their 1921 office building is used today at Chicago's Bronzeville Visitor Information Center. One in OCLC (Emory University).
