Second and greatly expanded edition, the entire second volume being new material. Written by an officer on Captain Woodes Rogers's privateering ship Dutchess, on a mission of plunder around the world. After doing battle with a Spanish galleon bound from Acapulco to Manila, the ship visited Cabo San Lucas on Baja California, described in Volume I:335-344 (see illustration). Also includes a long translation of a captured Spanish navigation manuscript, illustrated in the text with views of the Spanish Pacific coastline.
