Additional Details

The twin screw vessel began her career as the "Empress of Japan" in the Canadian Pacific fleet in 1930. She was engaged in the trans-Pacific trade. She became the "Empress of Scotland" in 1942 and served in the Atlantic. She was entirely reconditioned after the war. In 1958 she was sold to the Hamburg-Atlantic Line and became the "Hanseatic." She burned and was scrapped in 1966.
