(CHINA)
A selection of four small albums documenting travel and wartime in China.
One album with approximately 170 photographs documenting a 1924-25 group in China, in and around Yangchow, including some street scenes and outings to other cities, also what appears to be a wedding; with a large photo on the first page of the group (perhaps mission-related), which is stamped by Leonard Frank; a Red Cross certification laid in; also more than 170 loose photos, similar to what is in the albums. There are two smaller albums that appear to relate to the same trip, one with 9 and the other about 70 photographs, including some duplicates. And finally, an unrelated "Conflict of 1932 Shanghai China vs Japan" (titled in white ink inside front cover) with about 80 photographs, a serviceman's name at the rear. Silver prints, the images measuring 3 3/4x5 1/2 inches (9.5x14 cm.), and smaller, and the reverse, some with captions on verso or below the images. Oblong albums with tied-bindings, each a different color. 1924-32
