This personal collection of original photographs, which is largely composed of 19th-century "freaks," provides a colorful pictorial history of the sideshow. Carefully researched and annotated each sleeve contains portraits of notable figures as well as caption information about "the peerless prodigies of physical phenomena and great presentation of marvelous living human curiosities."<
