First French compilation of the thirteen state constitutions, the Articles of Confederation, and the Declaration of Independence as translated by the Duc de la Rochefoucault. Benjamin Franklin arranged for the printing in his role as ambassador to France, and likely wrote the 50-odd footnotes.
