Nice group of over 80 pieces related to the sister ships, most of the material pre-war and including numerous deck plans, good early photographs (most in 8x10 inch format), brochures, etc. Also includes a few press releases regarding the resumption of passenger service on the "Franconia" after the war. Principally 1920s-30s

Additional Details

A lovely group of materials related to the twin-screw sister ships. The "Carinthia" ended up the victim of a German submarine in 1940. However, the "Franconia" (II) served through the war as a troopship and then resumed passenger service later in the decade. She was broken up in 1957.
