Three plaster pieces from the workshop of Henry Hathaway at Tuskegee: castings of George Washington Carver's hand and face, and a mold for making commemorative pieces for the anniversary of Booker T. Washington's Negro Business League. Together with Hathaway's ledger and a notebook with the directions and formulas for glazing and firing ceramics. The hand and face are life-size; the cast is a rectangle 9 x 5-1/2 inches; some chipping and discoloration to the latter piece; the two former pieces are clean and in very good condition. * with the three castings are a number of photographs and hathaway family papers.
