(EROTICA--JAPANESE.) Edo period Japanese shunga scroll depicting 10 different erotic scenes in the ukiyo-e style. Sumi ink, watercolor and gofun wash highlighted with silver and gold on six joined sheets of Japanese laid paper; woven silk terminal edge, mounted to silk covered wooden dowel. 12 1/2x202 inches overall size; new ties, restored and backed with thin tissue stabilizing the sheets while repairing several small tears and minor worm tracks; mineral pigment oxidation through the verso of sheets.
