Interesting group of 7 vintage photographs taken in New York in September 1938 before the ship sailed without passengers back to Germany, in small 8x10 inch format; all but one with wire service captions mounted on the verso of each. Accompanied by a few contemporary news clippings. 1939
The "St. Louis" arrived in New York on September 27, 1938 and discharged her 44 passengers. Freight and fuel were loaded onto the ship and she left the following day without passengers due to the war in Europe. It marked her final voyage to New York.
