Additional Details

Martin Luther King was in Memphis to support striking sanitation workers when he was assassinated. Four days later, the strikers went ahead with their scheduled rally, now led by his widow, Coretta. The workers and protestors carried these white placards, reading "HONOR KING, END RACISM." This example was acquired at a Kansas City auction.
