Inscribed on the front free endpaper, "To my friend W.E. White with all good wishes from the author, Houdini. This is one of the very first books off the press. [It] is an advance copy & the first copy mailed to [A]ustralia. Houdini." The letter mounted to the front pastedown, to W.E. White, announcing his intention to send the present book and offering to send more copies. New York, 28 April 1924. The letter tipped in on the first rear blank, to "My dear White:- I am sending you notices of this town. Had my challenge accepted by one hundred and twenty-five spiritualists and you will notice that I whipped them all. Pardon rush letter." New York, 12 February 1926. Each 1 page, oblong 8vo, personal stationery.
Ephemera include a performance notice for his "Unmasking the Miracle Mongers" show at the Music Hall in Akron, OH on Monday, 25 February [1924]; seven newspaper or magazine articles on Houdini from 1923 -27; an issue of Magic-Unity-Might, June 1926; a program from a Chicago performance by Houdini's brother, "Hardeen," in 1927; others.
