This collection relates to the Mexican Revolution and the related border war interventions of the United States Army. A few of the postcards are dated 1914 or 1915; most are captioned in the negative. They show ruined buildings, military encampments, and corpses; many were taken around Veracruz, including one titled "American refugees en route to Vera Cruz." Among the individuals identified is American general James Parker, who had helped capture Geronimo back in 1886. One depicts a military memorial procession held in Brooklyn in May 1914. Photographers include F. Brooke, Charland of the United States Navy, P. Flores Pérez of Veracruz, D.W. Hoffman of El Paso, W.H. Horne of El Paso, and Hadsell of Veracruz; most are unidentified.
