The 1614 constitution of the Franciscan province of Santo Evangelio, as amended in 1640. Includes a clause relating to conversions in Nuevo México, and 3 clauses relating to the Indians generally: "doctrina y escuelas"; "amparo y defensa"; and finally "Del castigo de los Indios." One of the last books printed by the founder of the long-running Calderón dynasty, who died later that year.
