(MIDWEST ALBUM) Charming album with 133 cyanotypes, each carefully cropped, curated, and laid onto the page, including portraits, friends at play, landscapes, views of small cities, lake outings, children, and sublime landscapes. Many quite artful, including abstract croppings, men with cameras on bicycles, the photographer's shadow, variant perspectives, and chatty captions, perhaps photographed in Michigan and Ohio. Cyanotypes, some 4x3 inches (10.2x7.6 cm.), but most much smaller, and the reverse, with captions, in ink, on mount recto. Oblong 16mo, cloth, slightly worn; the owner's name inscribed inside the front cover. 1900-1904
