Additional Details

A most unusual keepsake for members of the 321st Ordnance Ammunition Company, formed in the early spring of I944. Nineteen highly trained men, to act as trainers for the new outfit, were selected from the 657th Ordnance Ammunition company. Recruits came from all parts of the country, until the company had reached the strength of 173 men. The 321st traveled around the European theatre to wherever they were needed: France, Germany etc. This keepsake, has a spot at the end for a picture of the owner; but sadly it seems to have been lost somewhere over the years. Quite unusual, the first we've seen of this in 20 years of looking at similar material.
