A unique collage created by Doris Parker (1922-2000), third and last wife of Charlie 'Bird' Parker. Charlie Parker died in 1955 from complications stemming from years of heroin addition, alcoholism and a bleeding ulcer. His widow, Doris June devoted the remainder of her life to the fight against drugs. This elaborately conceived collage was created in his memory, using old photographs, pieces of articles and related material. In it can be found images of numerous musicians that Parker played with over the years.
