Accounts of fires are written out in red. The addresses are clustered in the Vinegar Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, between the Brooklyn Navy Yard and what is now Dumbo. Also included is a list of 15 members of Truck Company #3 with their addresses and badge numbers. The neighborhood's fire station at 227 Front Street was decommissioned in 1976 and converted to residential use.
