An exactingly faithful manuscript version of the lower portion of a very large and extremely rare map lithograhed by John Pendleton in 1834. The boundaries of Wards 1-4 between the Battery and Anthony Street are represented; the street network is shown in explicit, large format detail with over 70 numbered sites referenced in the key including public buildings, banks, markets, churches, theaters, museums and schools.
