The photographs appear to have been compiled by a designer or an engineer, who enjoyed trimming pictures into special shapes and sizes, creating panoramas, and playing with cut-outs to create freestanding photographic objects. With many variant images of the popular Plimpton's Furniture Warehouse. Laid in is the business card of James L. Plimpton. Also features views of subway construction, plenty of street scenes, and storefront signage. Cyanotypes (21) and silver prints (75), various sizes from 3 3/4x5 to 3 1/2x12 inches (8.9x12.7 to 8.9x30.5 cm.), several with notations. 1900-1905
