Issued on the Sunday preceding the Massachusetts vote in the contentious 1824 election, with Secretary of State John Quincy Adams up against General Andrew Jackson and Secretary of the Treasury William Crawford of Georgia. This pro-Adams broadside urges voters to do their Christian duty for "the highly distinguished and virtuous Adams" over "the successful duelist Crawford, who has been engaged as principal or second in five duels and has killed his man!," later calling him "a man who has disobeyed the divine command, Do thou no murder." They surely would not have liked Andrew Jackson much either, but Jackson had no pledged electors running in Massachusetts. The broadside concludes: "To the Polls then on Monday--One and All, and give your voices and your ballots for the Adams ticket." Only one in OCLC, and none traced at auction since 1923.
