Includes numerous folding maps. 8vo, mid-19th century 1/2 calf over brown cloth, spine divided in five compartments by raised bands, green morocco lettering piece in second reads: "Miscellaneous Rail Road Reports", bookblock separated from covers; some of the folding maps have repairable tears. Ink ownership inscription on front flyleaf. United States, 1830s-50s.

Probably the most important report is the Gold Rush era proposal for a railroad between St. Louis and San Francisco, which includes an important folding map and large elevation.
