This manifest describes Harrison, aged 28, 5'7" in height, of yellow complexion, shipped by William Long of North Carolina from the Port of Pontchartrain, LA en route to Mobile, AL aboard the New York-based steamship J.L. Day. The owner asserts that Harrison "was not imported into the United States since the first day of January 1808" and that "under the laws of the State are held to service and labour." On verso, the port's surveyor gives the steamship authorization to proceed to Mobile.
