Additional Details

Depiction of slaves in a cotton field. The caption in the left corner, "[Goering]-Schmidt, Auslandische Kulturpflanzen" suggests this was part of Goering-Schmidt's large work on foreign horticulture. Goering-Schmidt produced a large series of prints like this that were meant to be hung in a class room as a teaching tool.
