the second edition, inscribed by quaker abolitionist thomas wistar (1798-1876) to his brother. Pierre Toussaint, a hair dresser who gained fame as a philanthropist was recommended for sainthood by the late Cardinal O'Connor of New York, who had Toussaint's remains removed from the small cemetery in Lower Manhattan's to St. Patrick's Cathedral. A nice association copy.
