Second edition of the Mirrour, a compilation of devotional biographies and anecdotes. Two New England colonists are discussed, Mary Dyer and Anne Hutchinson, on page 249 (the birth defects of their children are blamed on their heretical views). Includes the first appearance of the "Geographicall Description," which includes a substantial section on the Americas from pages 169-190. The author was an English Puritan. Sabin 13448.
