Additional Details

From the Collection of Walt Burton.

After Wilbur's death in 1912, Orville continued to develop new ideas for airplanes. He built an aeroboat in 1913, and flew it from The Great Miaim River at Dayton. An image depicting Orville alongside the aeroboat in waders, a vest, tie and hat, is reproduced in The Wright Brothers Legacy, 188-189.
