Additional Details

Adolf Voigt (1920-2007) was lecturer of photography at the Berlin Volkshochschule (People's College) and after 1950 at the Wilhelm-Foerster-Sternwarte. From 1989 to 2006 Mr. Voigt was the head of the group Berliner Mondbeobachter (Berlin Moon Observer), founded in 1956. From 1964 to 1969 he photographed the moon in all phases at the 12-inch Bamberg-Refractor of the Wilhelm-Foerster-Sternwarte in collaboration with Hans Giebler. For this purpose he built a special camera in the format 6x6 cm, which enabled the focal image of the entire moon.
