Draeger, [Paris.] Condition B+: minor tears at edges, some into image; minor losses and staining at edges; minor creases in margins and image. Paper. Although produced in the same year as his fabled Normandie poster, this image is an indication of the direction Cassandre's work would take once he moved to America in 1936. It is composed in a "charming, dreamy" symbolic style based on Surrealism, and indeed, elements of Magritte can be seen; it is a "foreglimpse of Cassandre's later stage designs" (Mouron p. 71).
