Folio containing 7 photographs relating to the aftermath of the "Pekin [sic] War," with two 2-part panoramas, including "View of the Imperial Winter Palace, Pekin Showing the Artificial Hill," and "Ft. Tangkoo," plus 3 picturesque views of China, including "Carved tomb at the depot near Pekin," "View of the Summer palace," and "Bridge of the Palichieaw, the scene of the fight with Imperial Chinese troops." Mounted albumen prints, the overall size of each panorama is 9x22 inches (22.9x55.9 cm), the single prints measure 9 1/2x11 inches (24.1x27.9 cm.), each with a handwritten caption and date, in ink, on mount recto.
