Very little is known about Lapierre, but Léon Deschamps commissioned him to design this poster in 1895. "In addition to the unlikelihood of the situation - a woman naked from the waist up leafing through prints - one can also be astonished at the presence, on the back wall, of strange sneering demons" (Salon des Cent p. 66). The poster also exists with the additional text announcing an exhibition entitled Fin De Siècle. Wember 525, Salon des Cent 31, DFP-II 492 (var).
