CHARLES SCHULZ / BILL MELENEDEZ / PEANUTS
A Charlie Brown Christmas Animation Cel 1965.

Original production animation cel setup from the perennial holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas, which first aired on December 9, 1965. The setup includes a custom hand painted snow overlay cel and scene matching print background for presentation purposes.

Any cels from this special are hard to come by, but those of Charlie Brown in his red coat and hunter's cap are especially scarce.

Additional Details

The matching shot appears early in the special, when Charlie Brown ventures outside on a snowy day to check the mail for Christmas cards. "Rats. Nobody sent me a Christmas card." [At which point this cel appears, around the 2 min 37 sec mark.] This scene helped set the tone for the special, as Charlie sets off to ponder the true meaning of the holiday.
