"Well I am here in the deep and hot South and I now have about all I can stand of it. I leave tomorrow morning for Atlanta[;] I will be there for two days then for Ft. Riley Kansas there not over three days then home at Menlo Park, Calif., so I should arrive there 9th or 10th of June. . . . [T]hen arrange to come anytime to Menlo Park or Palo Alto and advising me I will meet you at train . . . .
"If you can, bring some food stamps or just meat stamps only in case we might need them but don't think so. Oh! yes steal some gas stamps this is important. I have really done some good here in arranging some business matters, and feel have accomplished alot. . . ."
