An esteemed American Impressionist known for his luminous views of New York in the early 1900s, and an inveterate world traveler, at age 73, Cooper (1856-1937) visited Tunisia where he lived for two years before returning to the U.S. and settling in Santa Barbara. This work on paper shows what is likely the tower of the Mosque of of Sidi Amor Abbada.
